Ever thought about dressing up these breakfast
treats to make them special? We’re looking for a recipe that goes beyond
the basics. Perhaps grains, such as bran, cornmeal, buckwheat flour, whole
wheat flour, or wheat germ are added for extra nutrition. Maybe you
make a version with berries or other fruit stirred into the batter. Chopped
nuts, coconut, spices, and chocolate are other possible additions. Consider
the topping, too. It could be a syrup or fruit topping or a flavored butter.
Also make savory pancakes and waffles by adding cheese, herbs, or some
cooked bacon or sausage. Send us your best, newly developed recipe.

Start with a package of raw spinach and
think of its many possibilities. You could layer the spinach in a casserole,
fold it into pasta, stuff it in chicken breasts, use it as a quiche or omelet
ingredient, or puree it into a soup. Wilting the spinach and turning it into a
hot sauteed side dish with other vegetables or herbs is another idea. Or
whip up a main-dish salad with chunks of meat, chopped veggies, and a
creamy dressing Or turn it into a side with fruit and nuts. Share your best
spinach recipe idea that calls for at least one bag of spinach.
